Proud to be a Four Star School!
Dear Parents, Students and Staff,
THANK YOU for your efforts over our two eLearning make up days this spring! We appreciate you sharing your concerns and ideas through this process. We were able to make changes between Day 1 and Day 2 and certainly, if we make use of this option again in the future, we’ll all have a better understanding of how to make it a more successful experience for all of us!
Thank you, HR PTO, parents, and students for a wonderful Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week! You showered us with treats, kind words, and a delicious lunch! Thank you for supporting us in the mission of Catholic education at Holy Rosary!
Congratulations to Kathy Groves on her retirement! Mrs. Groves has been teaching at Holy Rosary for 28 years and in the diocese for 29! She has been a blessing to so many students, parents, and fellow staff members. She has been a mentor and guide for her students and their parents, helping them to understand the importance of the teacher/parent partnership in caring for children. We are grateful for the all Mrs. Groves has shared of herself in the caring for the Family of Families at Holy Rosary! We know she will enjoy her time with her husband, children, and grandchildren! God bless you, Mrs. Groves. We will miss you!
Included in today’s parent pack is a copy of the 2015-2016 Dress Code for Students. I am grateful for the input and participation of Student Council, School Board committee, and faculty in reviewing the dress code and suggesting changes. I want to compliment this year’s Student Council for the gift of one of the most mature and helpful dress code conversations I’ve had with students in 15 years! It was a pleasure to work with them, and I look forward to working with them in the future! Changes or clarifications made will show up in red in the document so that you will be aware of them. Please check them out, especially before buying new socks, for the 2015-2016 school year!
Thursday morning, May 21st, we will begin Field Day with our Candle Mass. At the end of mass, we have a ceremony in which our 8th graders pass on the light of leadership to our 7th graders. It’s a special tradition for us at Holy Rosary. You’re all invited to join us.
Just one more thing…please keep our students and our HR Family of Families in your prayers over the summer, and please say a special prayer for our 8th graders. We have been watching them learn and grow over the past 9 or more years and each one of them is in our hearts. Eighth graders, you will always have a home at Holy Rosary Church and School. We are your family of faith. We will keep you in our prayers. And we look forward to hearing of all the good things you will bring in to this world. May God bless and keep you!
