Honor Roll
As noted in the 2010-2011 Parent and Student Handbook, we spent time over the first quarter of this school year re-evaluating our Honor Roll categories at Holy Rosary. These categories make earning Honor Roll attainable, while still making Honor Roll an achievement to earn. After much discussion, the honor roll below was adopted for grades five through eight.
Honor Roll: 3.75-4.00 = High Honors
3.50-3.74 = Honors
3.00-3.49 = Honorable Mention
The percentage earned and reflected on each student’s report card will be converted to its matching letter grade, A, B, C, or D, and that letter grade is assigned a value (A=4, B=3, C=2. D=1). That value is then multiplied by the number of times the class meets in a week. The total points are then converted to a GPA by dividing the total number of points by the total number of class meetings.
